Navigating Life with Food Allergies
For parents and caregivers navigating the constant vigilance of food allergies.
Supporting families navigating childhood food allergies through parent consultations, guidance, and practical resources.
Raising a child with food allergies comes with a level of responsibility most people never fully see. From reading labels and navigating social situations to communicating with schools and childcare providers, the mental load can be constant. As both a licensed therapist and a parent of a child with multiple food allergies, I understand how complex and demanding this journey can be.
This space is designed to offer thoughtful guidance and support for parents navigating the emotional and practical realities of raising a child with food allergies.
Managing food allergies isn’t only about knowing what foods to avoid. It often touches nearly every part of family life.
Parents may find themselves navigating questions like:
• How do we safely send our child to school or childcare?
• How do we manage birthday parties, travel, and social events?
• How do we help siblings understand allergies?
• How do we support our child emotionally as they grow?
Many families receive excellent medical care but still find themselves looking for guidance around the everyday realities of living with food allergies.
Talking through these situations with someone who understands both the clinical and real-life sides of food allergy parenting can often bring clarity and relief for families.
Parent Consultations
Individual consultation sessions are designed to support parents navigating specific challenges related to their child’s food allergies.
These conversations may include:
• navigating a new diagnosis
• communicating with schools or childcare providers
• building safe routines for social events and travel
• managing anxiety around accidental exposure
• supporting children as they grow in awareness and confidence
• navigating family dynamics and sibling relationships
Consultations are collaborative, practical, and grounded in both professional training and lived experience as an allergy parent.
Supporting families navigating food allergies is deeply meaningful to me.
Why This Work Matters to Me
My introduction to the world of food allergies didn’t begin in a doctor’s office. It began at home. After my son had a reaction, we found ourselves asking questions we had never had to consider before. That moment led us down the path of allergy testing and learning what it would mean to navigate food allergies as a family.
Like many parents, I quickly realized how much everyday life could be affected, from school environments and social gatherings to the constant awareness that comes with keeping a child safe.
As both a clinician and a parent, I began to notice that while families often receive important medical guidance, many parents are left to navigate the emotional and practical realities of food allergies largely on their own. This work grew from a desire to create a space where parents can receive thoughtful guidance as they navigate those challenges.
Today, I bring together my clinical training and lived experience to support families navigating the practical and emotional realities of food allergy life.

Food allergies can carry both practical and emotional weight. Having a place to talk through these realities can help parents feel more grounded.
